Training was good-- enjoyed it. The book-- 21st Century Mentor's Handbook-- how will I use it? Since I actually like the format (font size and type) and the organization of this resource, I will probably actually use it. I need quick, easily accessible materials because the pace of the day in high school is "fast and furious."
I have already decided to use the checklists and graphic organizers found in Chapter IX Tools for New Teachers. By using these tools, I think I will be in a better position to recommend them. I had a fellow teacher suggest making copies of everything that looks remotely interesting / helpful and put it in a folder for my mentee!
